We did it.
We finally, finally — after living in this house 12 years, tackled the master bedroom & bathroom. It seemed like every time we were ready to give it a go, some other project would demand our attention.
You know you’re a devoted backyard farmer when you’ll spend your energy on a chicken coop while sleeping in a room with dirty primer on the walls.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
Boho Bedroom
I’ve always loved the dreamy, relaxed vibes of a bohemian bedroom. So that’s what we did. I went with Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black for the walls (although it took a helluva time trying to get the paint to not look blue). But alas, we did it, and I love the look of this matte black paint.

- Wood dressers
- Macrame plant hanger
- Vintage mirror – I got it at this shop on Etsy, but I don’t know if there are more available
- Arizona landscape photo
- “Come together” sign
- Geometrical sign
- Macrame wall hanger
- Cream pillow covers and pillows
- Black pillowcases and pillows
- Leather pillowcase and pillow
- Burnt orange blanket (looks like they’re out of the burnt orange, but this is the link I purchased from)
Boho Bathroom
When it came to the bathroom, we had a few hurdles to cross. We really wanted double sinks, but our sink space was tiny (only 48 inches). Lucky for us we found the perfect small sinks to fit in this spot.
We also had to redo the tile, but instead of replacing it, Kevin had the idea to epoxy the tiles with this product instead. They turned out amazing!

- Cabinets – we hired a local company to make these custom.
- Vessel sinks
- Farmhouse faucets
- Light fixture
- “Be a nice human” art
- Hand towels – I can’t find the same ones we purchased, but here’s a similar one.
- Hand towel ring
- Mirror frames – we actually built these ourselves with trim from the hardware store, then attached them with liquid nails.
- Turkish Rug – I buy these from Etsy and they’re one of a kind, but if you search “Oushak Rugs” you’ll find lots of different options.

That’s it! We love it and are so happy with how it turned out! The hardest part was definitely the epoxy tile — it took Kevin weeks to finish all the coats and let it dry fully.
